Recap:
Los Angeles Galaxy Battles Real Salt Lake to 2-2 Tie
Sept. 20, 2007
Javier Morales scored on a free kick in the 86th minute as Real Salt Lake rallied for a 2-2 draw with the Los Angeles Galaxy on Wednesday.
Landon Donovan scored on a penalty kick in the 79th minute to give the Galaxy a 2-1 lead. Six minutes later, Donovan set up a Gavin Glinton goal to give Los Angeles the lead.
The Galaxy had barely stopped celebrating when Morales found the net with his 25-meter spot kick to keep Los Angeles winless away from home this season.
Donovan had uncharacteristically missed the first two penalty kicks he attempted, but the midfielder buried one past diving goalkeeper Nick Rimando on his third attempt.
The Galaxy again played without injured midfielder David Beckham. With the international star expected to play, the RSL sold a season-high 24,366 tickets for the game, though several thousand fewer fans were in attendance.

The Galaxy had a record of 11-9-10, good enough for 2nd in the West and the playoff, remaining the only club in MLS to have a playoff spot in every year of league in the playoffs, the Galaxy withstood an early challenge from the Rapids to win the aggregate goal series, 2-1, scoring 2 times in Game 2. In the conference final, the Galaxy's season would come to an end in Kansas with a 2-0 loss to Arnaud and the Wizards.
